Wrestlers take first at regionals
Dominic Martinez wrestled strong at the regional meet, earning a first-place finish.
The Green River High School wrestling team had a lot of success at the 4A West Regional Meet in Evanston.
The team took first in the competition, earning 217 points. Second place went to Kelly Walsh with 208 and Rock Springs rounded out the top three with 176 points.
Individually, Dominic Martinez and Clayson Mele worked their way to the top of the 106-pound division, meeting one another in the finals. Martinez took first place by rule over Mele, who finished second.
Cody Price took fourth in the 113-pound competition, losing the third-place match to Devyn Mostellar of Kelly Walsh by decision....
