Daniel Wayne Willingham

Daniel Wayne Willingham died suddenly and peacefully Jan. 31, 2018, surrounded by family.

He was born March 26, 1974, to James and Leslie (Jones) Willingham.

He lived in Green River for most of his early life and attended elementary, middle, and high school there throughout the 80s and early 90s, after which he relocated to Texas with his family. He always considered Wyoming his home. His favorite job was driving a tow truck in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

When diabetes took his vision he became an advocate for electronic devices and software that help the blind to lead an independent lifestyle.

He was the sound technician at Vilott Baptist Church. He loved and enjoyed his church family, friends, and extraordinarily large extended family. As he wished, a Celebration of his life was held in Callisburg, Texas.

Daniel is survived by his parents, James and Leslie (Jones) Willingham of Gainesville, Texas; grandparents E.W. (Willie) and Billie J. Willingham of Gainesville, Texas; brothers Andrew Willingham and wife Lisa of Middletown, Del., and Kevin Willingham and wife Stacy of Denton, Texas; uncles and aunts Byron and Kim Willingham of Rock Springs, Donna and Jim Craine of Longmont, Colo., Ben and Brenda Willingham of Gainesville, Texas, Mitchell Willingham of Flower Mound, Texas, Laura and Onas Yandell of Rock Springs and Becky and Tom Boden of Kansas City, Kan., and a large number of nieces and nephews. Daniel was preceded in death by his grandparents Charles and Lavelle Jones and uncle Darrell Jones.
