Indoor track prepares for January

Head coach Dan Hansen is excited for the upcoming indoor track season at Green River High School.

The program was on the chopping block earlier this year, along with the wrestling cheer program and spring tennis. The programs were eventually saved by the school district’s board of trustees, something Hansen is grateful for.

Unlike other sports, the indoor track season doesn’t begin until mid-January, with the team’s first meet taking place at Weber State University in Utah. Another difference is the team’s season consists of meets taking place away from Green River. Hansen said the...
