Middle school swimmers gear up for season

While Monday was the official start of the winter sports season at Green River High School, high school students are not the only ones gearing up for a competitive season.

Practices also started for the Green River Middle School boys swim team, who took to the pool prior to their high school counterparts Tuesday afternoon.

Head coach Randy Walker said the team is more inexperienced than previous middle school teams, but said the kids are eager to learn and work hard to improve.
