Maurice Don Young Sr.

Maurice Don Young Sr., 79, passed away peacefully at home Oct. 12, 2017.

He was born to Maurice Young and Ovel O'Bannon in Brazos, Texas, Nov. 8, 1937. He served his country honorably in the Navy at an early age and worked all over the country in the oil and mining industry for many years before retiring back to Mineral Wells, Texas. Don loved playing games with his family, he was very competitive, and was successful at whatever he set his mind to.

Don is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Fayrene Young.

He is survived by a twin brother, Von (Bobbe) Young of New Mexico; a sister, Judy Allen of Texas, four sons and five daughters, as well as countless grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will take place Saturday in Texas.
