Johnny Harry Stassinos

Johnny Harry Stassinos, 52, of Rock Springs, passed away June 18, 2016. He had been a longtime resident of Rock Springs and briefly of Riverton.

He was born on June 15, 1964 in Rock Springs, the son of Harry and Evelyn Stassinos.

Stassinos attended schools in Rock Springs, and was a 1983 graduate of the Rock Springs High School.

He married Mary Adams in Rock Springs on September 29, 2012.

Stassinos was a snubber operator for 11 years and was employed by Stassco and later Most Wanted Well Service. He was a plumber by trade and loved his job. 

His interests were fishing, camping, boating, playing horseshoes, barbecuing, being a jokester and always spending time with his family, friends and the love of his life, his wife. 

Survivors include his wife Mary Stassinos of Rock Springs; three daughters, Devon Goe of Callispell, Mont., Ryann Stassinos of Riverton, and Kayleigh Allison of Green River; son J.J. Ackerman of Texas; two step-sons, Michael Adams of Pennsylvania and Martin Adams and companion Jasmine of Rock Springs; one grandchild Marelly; his four sisters, Barbie A. Hennessey, Theresa L. Piaia and husband David M., Mary Helen and husband Jay Whitfield, Jan A. Levitt and husband B.R., Toni M. Stassinos; his two brothers James M. Stassinos, Ronnie A. and Kori Stassinos all of Rock Springs; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Evelyn Stassinos, his brother, Mark Christopher Stassinos, his sister Deborah Marie White, his nephew, Christopher L. Hamm and his brother in-law, Steve G. Hennessey.

Following cremation, a celebration of life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sweetwater County Events Complex. A vigil service with rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Rock Springs.
