Harrison Elementary School second-grade student, Jaylene Gallegos, 8, was asked by her teacher Senter Timmons and activities director Tony Beardsley to sing the National Anthem at the last Green River High School Boys Varsity basketball game, which was Feb. 27. Timmons discovered Gallegos when she was singing in the hallway. He asked her to sing for him again; and she did. He recorded her singing the National Anthem and asked Beardsley if they can have her sing at a basketball game. Gallegos was honored to do so and received a lot of applause from the audience.
