Anna Dolores Clouse, 85, of Rock Springs, passed away Feb. 22, 2016, at the Mission at Castle Rock in Green River. A longtime resident of Rock Springs and former resident of Paris, Ark., Clouse died following a lengthy illness.
She was born on Feb. 22, 1931, in Paris, Ark., the daughter of Leon T. and Cecilia Neihouse McGee.
Clouse attended schools in Paris, Ark., and Superior. She was a graduate of the Superior High School with the class of 1949.
She married Norman L. Clouse in Rock Springs on Sept. 22, 1951 and he preceded her in death on Aug. 24, 2014.
Clouse worked at various stores as a retail clerk.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community and was quite active in the church when she was young.
Her interests were spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; camping, fishing and remodeling her Pinedale home. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and quilting.
Survivors include two sons, Royce Clouse of Rock Springs and Donald Clouse of Utah; sister Stella Noble and husband J.B. Wycoff of Sun City, Ariz .; three grandchildren, Nellie Beachler and husband John, Roilyn Eaton and husband Scott, Robert Clouse and wife Lauren; seven great-grandchildren Shane Beachler, Baily Beachler, Cheyenne Beachler, Madelyn Frederick, Alyssa Frederick, Mason Nading and Samantha Eaton; sisters-in-law Poldi McGee of Richmond, Calif. and Arlene McGee of Citrus Heights, Calif..
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Katherine M. McGee, Liz Legerski, brothers Robert McGee and Leon McGee and one great-granddaughter, Koree Lauren Shanahan Clouse.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, at Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church at 633 Bridger Avenue in Rock Springs. A vigil service with rosary will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Vase Funeral Chapel at 154 Elk Street in Rock Springs. Interment will be in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday at the Vase Chapel, one hour prior to services and at the Vase Chapel on Friday morning until time of funeral services.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at 604 Massachusetts Street in Rock Springs.
