Middle school swimmers win in Rawlins

The Green River Middle School Swimming and Diving Team continued their winning ways after taking first at a competition in Rawlins.

The team dominated a number of events throughout the course of the meet. The team of Cherlann Moritz, Kinley Cochrane, Lauren Jensen and Sydni Sanders took first in the 200-yard medley relay while the team of Ce'Nedra Hooley, Emily Reyes, Kathryn O'Toole and Lauren Lee took first in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

Moritz also won the 200-yard freestyle while Jensen secured victory in the 100-yard IM and the 100-yard freestyle. Hooley also took first in individual competitions, winning the 50-yard freestyle and the 50-yard fly. Sanders took first in the 100-yard backstroke while Cochrane won the 100-yard breaststroke event.

In 1-meter diving, Afton Spalding took first in the event while Madisyn Mende placed third, Morgan Atkins took fourth, Jerra Lester placed fifth and Acacia Hooley ranked sixth.
