Geraldine (Gerrie) Ann Bader

Geraldine (Gerrie) Ann Bader, fortified with Sacraments of Holy Mother Church Sept. 13, 2015, at age 72. Dear mother of Ben Beckermann, Dan (Dina) Beckermann, Brian (Vanessa) Beckermann, Mary (Aaron) Rushing and Tom (Katie) Beckermann. Beloved grandmother of 16, great-grandmother of two. Sister of Darlene Lauer, Jane Peanick, Joy Kessles and donna (Carl) Wolff.

Bader had a special love for children and the elderly; she was a foster mother for several years, and worked as a CNA in nursing homes. Her children and grandchildren were her joys in life. She enjoyed writing and loved music and karaoke and a long game of Scrabble. Gerrie had a lively sense of humor and a sincere interest in others. She loved her church and had a strong devotion to the rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

Bader was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Iris (Godier) Bader, former husband Thomas Beckermann, and grandsons David and Tyler Beckermann.

Visitation and a mass of Christian burial took place at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in New Melle, Mo., today. Masses or donations to pro-life organization preferred.
