Dawn Lee Besso

Dawn Lee Besso, 51, of Rock Springs, passed away Aug. 20, 2015 at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. A resident of Green River for the past 10 years and former long time resident of Rock Springs, Besso died following a lengthy illness.

She was born on Feb. 14, 1964 in Rock Springs, the daughter of Martin James  and Barbara Besso.

Besso attended schools in Rock Springs and was a 1982 graduate of the Rock Springs High School. She attended and graduated from the Riverton Beauty Academy and received her cosmetology license and then went on to get her instructor's license.

She owned and operated the Bombshell Salon.

Her interests were playing computer games, hunting and fishing. She liked to socialize and in doing so touched many lives. She loved spending time with her family, hair styling and cosmetology.

Survivors include her parents Martin and Barbara Besso of Rock Springs; brother Jerry Snyder of Rock Springs; sister Margie Allen and husband Keith of Rock Springs; maternal grandmother Jane Lawson of Wendell, Idaho; uncle John Besso of Rock Springs; nieces Andrea Besso of Aimes, Iowa, and Carissa Lye and husband Joey of Rock Springs; cousins Willy Warren and wife Jennifer and Kacey Pfiefle and husband Ronald, all of Wenatchee, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her biological mother Ann Marie, her paternal grandparents Jim and Emma Besso and her maternal grandfather C. Chester Utter, aunts and uncles Teresa Warren and her husband Ken, Wanda Alberti and Jerry Utter.

A celebration of her life took place Tuesday. Inurnment will be at the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.
