County runners shine at marathon

Sweetwater County runners performed well during the Run with the Horses races during the annual River Festival.

John Pawleska, one of the race’s organizers, said local runners Adam Harlow, Brenda Gray, Jessie Ray O’Neal, and Kristine Maggi were top finishers in their races.

Additionally, Rock Springs resident Julie Seymour won the women’s marathon 24 minutes ahead of the next finisher.

“We had some real good times for 1,500-foot of climb in this race,” Pawleska said.
