Museum publishes rock guide

Bison Rock, which can be seen on the west side of Green River, can be tricky to view as the perspective can change the shape of the rock.

A new publication from the Sweewtater County Museum gives residents and visitors information about local rock formations like Camel Rock and the Palisades, as well as area geology.

The pamphlet, "Rock Formations of Sweetwater County," was released Monday morning. Brie Blasi, interim director of the museum, said the museum originally had pamphlets about local rock formations, but had been out of print for several years.

"People have been asking for it," Blasi said about the pamphlets.
