Pool sharks are still at it

With summer in full swing, some activities at the Golden Hour Senior Center have seen a decrease in participation.

This was true for pool.

On Tuesday morning, only three players made it to the center to play a friendly game of pool.

Larry Cauthorn, a regular, said this kind of attendance is typical in the summer.

People are just too busy camping, working in the yards or doing other fun things that take them away from the center, but he is still glad to be able to visit the center and keep up his pool skills.

One of the three players, was a new face, Ellis Nelson, who said he was just learning all the tips he could from Cauthorn.

Meanwhile, at the other end of the room, GHSC well-known pool shark Gabby Carman was busy calling shots to himself and getting them into the correct hole.

Carman is known for his expertise and his cool, calm and collected approach to the game.

Even though there were only three players, they were still having a good time joking with each other and giving each other pointers on how to make the next shot.
