Roy Albert Wilkie

Roy Albert Wilkie, 65, of Rock Springs passed away April 25, 2015 at his home. A longtime resident of Rock Springs, Wilkie died following a sudden illness.

He was born on Oct. 18, 1949 in Rawlins, the son of the late Robert and Bernadean Kimmell Wilkie.

Wilkie attended school in Rock Springs and was a 1967 graduate of the Rock Springs High School.

He married Jackie Tabor on Feb. 27, 1969 and she preceded him in death on June 22, 1975.

Wilkie was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era.

He had been employed as a HVAC tech for many years and retired in 2013.

His interests included boating, working on cars, spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his son Keith Wilkie of Rock Springs; three brothers, Ray Wilkie of Redding, Calif., Russell Wilkie and Richard Wilkie of Williston, N.D .; one sister, Renee Johnson of Arkansas; five grandchildren, Richard Krotzer, Christopher Krotzer, Nathan Wilkie, Emily Wilkie and Kaden Wilkie; many great-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, cousins nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jackie, and one daughter Kelli Krotzer.

Following cremation, memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Vase Funeral Chapel at 154 Elk Street in Rock Springs. Friends may call at Vase Chapel one hour prior to services.
