Lady Wolves focus on offensive side of ball

The Green River High School girl’s basketball team played great defensively last Thursday night against rival Rock Springs, but could not find enough ways to score and dropped a 43-32 road contest to their rivals.

Lady Wolves head coach Rick Carroll said he thought the team did a good job on defense, but they fouled too much, especially in the first half.

Green River finished the game with 24 turnovers, and Carroll said many of them were uncontested and that hurt the team.

“I also through we missed a lot of easy baskets. Those are some shots you just have to make,” he said.
