Cathy Jean Ray, 63, of Rock Springs, passed away Dec. 26, 2014 at her home. She had been in ill health for the past five years.

She was born on April 11, 1951 in Casper, the daughter of Troy H. and Elma Jean Hewitt Ray.

Ray attended schools in Casper and was a 1969 graduate of the Natrona High School.  She also attended Casper College and obtained a degree in accounting.

She married Roy Kenneth Fowler in Casper and he preceded her in death on July 21, 2014.

Ray was employed as a prison guard for Correction Corp. of America and she worked there for 18 years retiring in October of 2013. She was the owner and operator of Pro Pet Care Shelter and Rescue.

Ray was a member of Odd Fellows and Rebeckas and SPCA.

Survivors include her mother Elma Jean Ray of Casper; two sons William Fowler and Jason Fowler both of Rock Springs; three brothers Troy Ray II and Daniel Ray both of Casper and Bob Foster of Oceanview, Hawaii; three sisters Laura Foster of Oceanview, Hawaii and Dorothy Ray and Ramona Ray both of Casper; four grandchildren Daniel Fowler, Austin Fowler, Jessica Fowler and Zachary Fowler; one great-granddaughter Emma Fowler; one niece Misty Ray; three nephews Troy Ray III, Christopher Ray and Terrance Ray.

She was preceded in death by her father; former husband Roy Kenneth Fowler and one son Jerad Fowler.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
