Boys learn at FGC

It was a tough weekend of competition for the Green River High School boy’s basketball team.

The Wolves faced a daunting three-game schedule that included matchups against the number two (Gillette) and three ranked (Cheyenne East) teams in the state.

The Wolves started the tournament against defending state champion Gillette Thursday and for two and a half quarters were able to hang with the powerful Camels squad.

A strong fourth quarter push propelled Gillette to a 99-61 victory.

Green River head coach Dan LaRose said he was pleased for the most part with the teams play.
