Body found near Wamsutter

The body of a missing woman from Illinois was recovered last week, according to a press release from the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office.

The body of 28-year-old Teresa Withers was found at Barrel Springs Draw Wednesday morning by members of Sweetwater County Search and Rescue. According to the release, Withers died as a result of exposure and hypothermia, with Sweetwater Coroner Dale Majhanovich commenting that evidence of any foul play was not evident at the location of Withers’ body. An autopsy took place Sept. 11.
