It was a huge weekend for the Green River High School volleyball team as the Lady Wolves were able to do something not even the 2009 4A state championship team could accomplish.
Competing with 23 other schools from a total of three states at the Gillette Invitational, Green River was able to advance with seven other teams to the Gold Bracket and came away with a sixth-place finish and an overall record of 4-2.
Head coach Rikki Shantz said she that was the first time the team has made it to to the gold bracket and she and the girls were very happy about their performance.
