At approximately 9:37 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, the Green River Fire Department, along with Green River Police Department and Castle Rock Ambulance, was dispatched to a vehicle fire that threatened a home. The fire crew quickly extinguished the fire, which was contained to the original vehicle. The cause of the fire was determined to be from the block heater on the Chevy Duramax pickup. Daniel Roy Friebel, a dedicated police officer, active outdoorsman, and skilled taxidermist, passed away on February 27th, 2023. He was 64 years of age. Ronald Drue Clark passed away peacefully March 1, 2023. Ron was born April 14, 1951 in Price, Utah. He moved to Green River with his family in 1957, and remained a lifelong resident there until his passing.
