Last night, the Green River City Council voted to change requirements in its city administrator job posting, opening the position to advertisement for another 10 days. The change allows applicants who may have equivalent experience in the private sector the opportunity to apply. • How much time is too much screen time?

Becky Iwen, Sweetwater County Library System|Jan 7, 2015

While celebrating Christmas, I reflected on what it means to be a parent in this ever-changing world. Computers were a fairly new thing when I was a child and having a single family computer was exciting. Now many households have smartphones and tablets far more powerful than computers from even five years ago. The question of what type of screen time and how much, including TV, gaming systems, computers, iPads, and more can be a question that may weigh heavily on parents minds. The real question for myself is how do I teach my children that...

Now you are on par with everything you would want on a trolling boat. Sonar’s generally come in three types, flasher, digital vertical, and graph. I purchased my first sonar 16-17 years ago for ice fishing. It was a side...

  • Cowboys game was a trip to the fountain of youth

    Jack H. Smith, Staff Writer|Jan 7, 2015

It’s pretty simple to say that life was a lot more simple growing up. There was nothing quite like waking up with the biggest concern being which hill to try to fly down on a bicycle or knowing that it was the weekend. I could spend literally all day trying to solve the video game I had just purchased. And while this is a time you can never return to, there are some rare moments that take me back to my childhood. It can be something a simple as a smell, or maybe a song that I used to jam on...
