Wilson hearing delayed

Allan Wilson’s preliminary hearing was rescheduled once again.

The Green River City Councilman, who faces charges related to sexual molestation of a minor in two counties will appear at the Rock Springs Circuit Court at 9 a.m. May 15. His hearing in Lincoln County was set at 1:30 p.m., June 8.

Wilson is charged with second-degree sexual abuse of a minor in Sweetwater County, which is alleged to have occurred sometime during the late spring or summer of 2013 and carries a possible maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a maximum potential fine of up to $10,000.

In Lincoln County, he is charged with first-degree sexual abuse of a minor, which is alleged to have occurred sometime between April 29 and Sept. 1, 2011. That charge carries a possible maximum sentence of 50 years in prison and a maximum potential fine of up to $10,000.

Wilson was arrested in January and held in the Sweetwater County Detention Center until he bonded out of jail. Since then, he has continued serving on the Council, appearing at scheduled Council meetings.
