Walter LaVerne Dorethy

Walter LaVerne Dorethy, 83, passed away Feb. 17, 2018, at his home in Rock Springs.

He was born Jan. 2, 1935, in Macomb, Ill., the son of Walter Leonard Dorethy and Ada Mildred Jarvis.

Dorethy attended schools in Colchester, Ill.

He married Doris Ann Gray April 7, 1954, in Colchester, Ill.

Dorethy served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He also served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was in the reserves for one year.

Walter worked as a journeyman electrician for IBEW hiring hall. He sent many men to work all over the state of Wyoming. Dorethy was the first person to adopt...
