Frances Ann Oaks

Frances Ann Oaks passed away March 23, 2017, in Rolla, Mo.

She was born Sept. 16, 1949, in Green River at home to Cora (Dominguez) and Frank Cordova.

She attended school in Green River.

She worked as a bartender at the Mustang and at the Mast in the 1970s and 1980s, then went to work for the Red Feather in 1983, where she was employed for 17 years.

She moved to Licking, Mo., in July, 2016 to be close to her son Bob as he retired from the U.S. Army after 23 years of service.

She loved watching football and was an avid Washington Redskins fan and a Wyoming Cowboys fan.

She also liked reading, watching crime shows and game shows. She also liked to do word search puzzles.

Survivors include her daughter Tina and husband Mark Doyle of Green River, son Bob and wife Becky Oaks of Licking, Mo., sisters Sophie Arguello, Mary Rudy, Bee Cordova, all of Green River; Martha Miller of Rock Springs and Rosa Casados of Long Beach, Calif.; brother Wheatie Cordova of Green River and four grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Herb Cordova; sister Ernestine Reyes; brother-in-laws Jim Rudy, Lawrence Casados and Joe Reyes.

Memorial services will take place April 9 at 2 p.m. at the Eagles in Green River.
