Center to host fundraising event at events complex

Amid a budget crunch, the Sweetwater County Child Developmental Center will host a fundraiser to help cover costs.

Center director Lu Kasper said the second annual Career Day is the same as last year’s event, but with one exception it acting as a fundraiser for the center.

“Last year was pretty much a hit,” Kasper said. “We had over 600 people.”

For an event of this size, the center chose to host it at the Sweetwater County Events Complex from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Jan. 21. Those who decide to attend will pay $3 per child or $10 per family with more than four children, to meet teache...
