Marjory "Marge" M. Blanshan Sherwood Sonnenberg

Marjory "Marge" M. Blanshan Sherwood Sonnenberg, formerly of Green River, passed away Dec. 24, 2016, in Apache Junction, Ariz. She was born May 3, 1922, in Brit, Iowa. She was a graduate of Britt College and received a master's degree in education from the University of Idaho. She was a teacher and guidance counselor in Wyoming, Idaho and Arizona.

She married Robert Sherwood, and they had two sons together, Tom and Eric Sherwood. They later divorced. She later married Leo Sonnenberg. They retired to Blackfoot, Idaho. She later moved to Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister June Christensen, half-brother Donald Holck, her sons Eric and Tom Sherwood, husband Leo Sonnenberg, ex-husband Bob Sherwood and many friends. She is survived by numerous extended family, including her nephews Craig and Mickey Christenson, sister-in-law Gail (Sherwood) Curless and family, daughters-in-law Michele (Sherwood) Irwin of Green River and family, Stephanie Sherwood and family and Marge's longtime friend Sarah Henslee of Arizona.

Marge was plucky, cheerful and known for her quick wit. She was independent, intelligent, and opinionated. She was voracious reader and enjoyed puzzles, craft, shopping, and travel. She was a sharp dresser, and especially enjoyed holiday attire. She was a good friend, and an inspiration to many.
