City seeks grants for Greenbelt, tree inventory

The Greenbelt might see some renovations if the city receives a $50,000 grant.

Tuesday night, the Green River City Council approved a request to apply for a Doppelt Trail Development Fund grant. According to information provided to the council, the grant would be used for a new coating on the pathway, as well as crack sealing and filling from the Uinta Drive Bridge to Scotts Bottom.

The grant the Green River Parks and Recreation Department seeks is known as a project transformation grant, which can range between $15,000 and $50,000.
