On Oct. 6, 2016, Sophie Bessie Lucero our mother, sister, and grandmother was taken to be with her Lord Jehovah. She was surrounded by her daughters and grandchildren when she passed. Sophie was born April 18, 1923, in Lucero, New Mexico. She was born to Fidel and Teofila Trujillo Maestas. She later moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming and spent the rest of her life in Utah and Wyoming. She married Richard Lucero in 1948 who preceded her in death in 2002.
Sophie was a devout Jehovah Witness for 68 years. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed camping and fishing...
