John Michael Iribarren

John Michael Iribarren passed away at his home in Apple Valley, Utah, Sept. 22, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. His family, Marcy, AJ, Jocelyn, and Jude were by his side.

John was born in Rock Springs, July 13, 1955, the son of John Peter Iribarren and Rose Marie Doty. He married the love of his life, Marcelle (Marcy) Durrans May 17, 1980, in Green River. They had 36 great years together.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Anthony John; two daughters: Brandy Leigh Powell and spouse Jimmy and Jocelyn Rachelle; four grandchildren, Jude Ryan, Ashley, Halee, and James; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Angela and spouse Scott Hoover, Lisa Iribarren, Michelle and spouse Roberto Aquilar, and several special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Joseph Frank and son John Michael.

John hired out to Stauffer Chemical (now Ciner) when he was 18 years old and worked there until his retirement in 2011. He then moved to his current home in Apple Valley. John loved fishing, hunting, camping, and the great outdoors. But even more he loved his family. He was a wonderful husband and father, and good neighbor and friend.

The Mass of Celebration took place Sept. 28 at the Catholic Church in St. George, Utah.
