Francisco "Pancho" "Panchito" Grimaldo

Francisco "Pancho" "Panchito" Grimaldo, 70, of Green River passed away peacefully Sept. 25, 2016, with his wife by his side at University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City.

He was born June 7, 1946, in Pihuamo, Jalisco, Mexico, the son of Jesus Suarez and Maria Grimaldo Madrigal. He married Carol D. Carter in 1995 in Redbluff, Calif. He was a member of the Catholic Church.

He enjoyed gardening, pets and cooking.

Poncho worked as a cook at Don Pedro's in Green River for 16 years.

Survivors include his wife Carol Grimaldo of Green River; step daughters Shelley Green of Afton and Dina Beckerman and husband Dan of Evanston; granddaughters Marrah Beckerman of Evanston, Morgan Martinez and husband Amos of Green River, Megan Beckerman and Molly Beckerman, both of Evanston; one great-grandchild, Zayla Martinez; and numerous relatives in both Mexico and the United States.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and step son-in-law Brian Green.

At his request, no services will be held. A gathering of friends and family will be at Don Pedro's in Green River and will be announced at a later date.
