Benjamin "Gayle" Seals, 75, of Rock Springs, passed away Sept. 19, 2016.

Garyle was born in Lander Dec. 8, 1940. He graduated from Riverton High School in 1959 and continued on to receive a technical certificate from Weltech Electronics in 1964.

Gayle was married to Elizabeth (Beth) Ratliff June 9, 1962. They were married 54 years.

Gayle worked as a microwave technician for Rock Springs Phone Company (now Century Link) for 41 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, metal detecting, coin collection, his cabin and spending time with his family. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for 42 years.

Gayle is survived by his wife Beth; his two sons, B. Darryl and spouse Zona of Chillicothe, Ohio and Darryn and spouse Brenda of Poulsbo, Wash.; one daughter, Deanna of Rock Springs; one foster daughter, Kimberly Willis Dougherty; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two nieces; one nephew; and other family.

Gayle is preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Edith Seals; sister Jane Sothan; and niece, Judy Ahrens.

A celebration of life will take place at 2 p.m., Thursday at Vase Funeral Chapel in Rock Springs.  Friends may call one hour prior to services.
