Nancy C. "Toni" Morgan

Nancy C. "Toni" Morgan, 75, of Green River, passed away July 23, 2016 at her home.  A longtime resident of Green River and former resident of Carlsbad, N.M., Morgan died following a lengthy illness. 

She was born Dec. 23, 1940 in Wheatland, Ind., the daughter of Charles W. Dunn and Emma J. (Taylor) Dunn.

Morgan attended schools in Carlsbad, N.M.

She married Wiley J. Morgan in Roswell, N.M., Sept. 22, 1956.

Morgan was employed at the Sweetwater County Courthouse and worked there for many years, retiring as a title clerk in 2013. She and her husband owned and operated three restaurants in Green River, the A&W Drive Inn, Hands Pizza Parlor and Unk's Drive Inn. 

She was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church, Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority and was president for one term. She also was one of the founders for throat cultures immunization in Sweetwater County School District No. 2.

She was a member of the National Association Purchasing Management and a cofounders of the Green River Pond Club.

Her greatest interest was spending time with her family and her faith was very important to her.

She enjoyed painting, bowling, cooking, dancing, gardening, antiquing and traveling many states to visit her family.  

Survivors include her husband Wiley J. Morgan of Green River; son Jeffrey Morgan of Green River; three daughters, Sheila Pridmore and husband Chuck of Rock Springs, Pamela Christiansen and husband Rolland of Barnett, Mo., and Connie Stokes and husband Brett of Green River; brother Vernon Dunn of Sesser, Ill.; sister Debra Stout and husband Roger of Apache Junction, Ariz.; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and one aunt. 

Pallbearers are Jeffrey Morgan, Brett Stokes, Rolland Christiansen, Chuck Pridmore, Colton Zinn, and Vernon Dunn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her maternal and paternal grandparents and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Hilltop Baptist Church in Green River.

Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the church Thursday, one hour prior to services.
