A man who admitted to having sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl will serve time in prison.

TJ Luna, 32, Green River, appeared in the Third District Court of Judge Nena James to a sentencing hearing to six counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor and two counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor.

During the change of plea hearing, which took place earlier this year, Luna pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor. In exchange for his guilty plea, all other charges were dismissed.

At the sentencing hearing, Luna was given three 20 to 30-year prison sentences in the Wyoming State Penitentiary. All of this terms will run concurrently; and he will receive credit for 186 days for pre-sentence confinement.

According to court documents, on Oct. 5, 2015, a Green River police officer spoke to a 15-year-old girl who reported she had been “raped” by Luna.

The girl told officers, Luna raped her a few times over a five-month period.

After the girl was interviewed, Luna was interviewed by a police officer.

Documents state, that at first Luna only admitted to having sexual intercourse with the girl once, but then he later admitted to a total of three times.

Luna also told the officers it is was a mistake and he knew what he was doing was wrong.
