Meet Mary Poppins cast

Well-known classics from Mary Poppins will appear on stage, but community events are taking place before the musical.

November will be filled with wonder as Western Wyoming Community College's Performing Arts Department prepares to bring the magic of Mary Poppins to life on stage, the community is encouraged to read, explore and experience the story.

Pass-along Mary Poppins books have been available at the Sweetwater County Library, Rock Springs Library and White Mountain Library. Books were also made available at Hay Library at WWCC.

"If you didn't get a copy, make sure to check out the library's digital collection. Mary Poppins can be checked out as an eBook," Lindsey Travis, Sweetwater County Library System public relations specialist, said.

For the explore part of the program, Mary Poppins fans are encouraged to drop by the libraries for upcoming events.

At 4:30 p.m. Thursday, kids and families can drop by White Mountain Library in Rock Springs to meet some of the cast members, hear some songs and make a craft. Following the kids' event at 5:30 p.m.
