Mary Loraine Angeli

Mary Loraine Angeli, 92, of Rock Springs, passed away Oct. 30, 2015 at the Mission at Castle Rock in Green River.  A longtime resident of Rock Springs, Angeli died following a lengthy illness. 

She was born on Sept. 18, 1923 in Superior, the daughter of the late Joseph and Albina Angeli.

Angeli attended school in Superior and was a 1941 graduate of the Superior, High School.  She then attended and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a bachelor's degree in education.

She was employed as an Elementary School Teacher in Winton, Casper and Powell,  and Rawlins, and retired  from the Rawlins Elementary School.

Angeli was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community, Tyrolean Trentini of Wyoming and Educators Sorority.

She loved animals including the many dogs she had as companions in her life and she was generous always giving to many worthy groups. 

Survivors include one brother Rudolph A. Angeli of Roseburg, Ore .; one niece, Sandra Angeli-Gade and husband Jay of Roseburg, Ore .; one grand-niece, Anna Jessica Angeli Gade and one grand-nephew Matthew Joseph Gade; and cousin Frank and wife Juanita Angeli.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Zella Angeli

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Saturday at Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 633 Bridger Avenue, Rock Springs.  A vigil service with rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Friday at the Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs. Interment will be in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call at the Vase Chapel on Friday one hour prior to the rosary and at the Vase Funeral Chapel Saturday until time of funeral services.
