Dennis Gene Peterson

Dennis Gene Peterson, 67, died peacefully Oct. 24, 2015 at the IMC in Murray, Utah following a brief illness.

He is the son of the late LuGene and Ora Anderson Peterson. He was raised in Lehi, Utah and graduated from Lehi High School and Utah Technical College. He married Nancy Kay Martin, the love of his life, in Salt Lake City on Feb. 21, 1969. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

He served in the Naval Reserve and was a Vietnam Veteran. He then worked for 34 years at FMC near Green River, and retired in 2008. In 2010 he and Nancy moved to Saratoga Springs, Utah. His hobbies were anything his children were involved in and golf.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy, his four children and their spouses: Eric (Jinny) Peterson, Marc (Sylvia) Peterson, Holly (Cory) Steed, and Heidi (Mark) Farmer, and 14 grandchildren. He is also survived by his three sisters, Ora Jean Brown, Kathy Hawn, and Jeannie and Willard Spykes.

Dennis was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as the Bishop of the Green River Fourth Ward as well as serving in many other capacities.

A viewing took place Oct. 26 at Wing Mortuary 118 E. Main St. Lehi, Utah. Funeral services took place Oct. 27 at the Saratoga Hills Third Ward Chapel.
