Library hosts fall book sale

The Sweetwater County Library System is once again hosting its Fall Book Sale. The sale, which will be at White Mountain Library, 2935 Sweetwater Drive in Rock Springs, will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

“This year, we’re also having an Early Bird Special,” Michelle Maser, White Mountain Library manager said. “For just $5, you can get into the sale from 8-10 a.m. to get the first look at the books.”

The books in the sale are a combination of those removed from the library collection and those that have been donated from the public. Those attending the sale will find books from all genres, including fiction, young adult, mysteries, biographies and nonfiction books. There will also be a big collection of paperbacks. DVDs, CDs and audiobooks will also be available in the sale.

“There are thousands of items to choose from,” Maser said.

None of the items will be marked with prices. Instead, the public is asked to offer a donation for their purchases. The proceeds from the book sale will benefit both the library system and the Sweetwater County Library Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a foundation for lifelong learning.
