Rust shines, great week for GRHS Wolves track

After a month of dominating against the best in Utah, Green River High School’s Dylan Rust showed the State of Wyoming just how good he is.

The senior was once again in top form at last weeks Wyoming Classic in Casper and walked away with a first-place finish in the discus with a throw of 175 feet and one inch. His throw was over ten feet more than the second-place finisher. Rust also finished third in the shot put at the prestigious event.

Green River freshman Andri Dewey also continued to excel and finished third in the 400 meters.

Juniors Josie Givens and Tyler Vendetti were also strong for the Wolves. Givens finished fourth in the 800 meters and Vendetti was fourth in the long jump. He also placed eighth in the triple jump.

Senior Holly Huber placed sixth in the 100-meter hurdles and Emily White was also sixth in the discus. She placed tenth in the shot put.
