An interest in outdoor activities led Braxton Davis to join the Cub Scouts.
The 10th-grade student has been a member of Boy Scout Troop 19 for the past four years.
Davis said he wanted to join the scouts, not just for all of the activities, but because he got to do a lot of outdoor stuff away from his mom and dad.
Some of the activities Davis has participated in over the years include garbage clean ups, food drives, cementing banner poles and other fun activites.
