Joseph John Rogers

Joseph John Rogers, 87, of Rock Springs passed away March 12, 2015 at his home.  A lifelong resident of Rock Springs, Rogers passed away following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Winton March 31, 1927, the son of the late William and Gladys Lowe.

Rogers attended schools in Reliance.

He married Joan Duzik and they later divorced and then married Marilyn Jelosek.

Rogers served in the United States Army during World War II.

He worked for FMC Corporation for 25 years.

Rogers was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Community.

His interests included golfing, hunting and spending time with family.

Survivors include his wife Marilyn Rogers; two sons, Michael Rogers and James Rogers; three daughters, Jean Zaversnik and husband Gary, Jayne Vavold and companion Chris Messelt and Susan Araas and husband Jim; two sisters, Wilma Erramouspe and Genevieve Gordon; seven grandchildren Lindsay, Nicole, Ashley, Andrea, Brian, Mark and Kristin; five great-grandchildren Joseph, Blair, Alexander, Reagan and Kelsey and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Joey Rogers, one sister, Donna Collins, and brothers-in-law Jack Collins and John Erramouspe.

A mass of Christian burial took place Wednesday.
