Kenneth E. Kopp Sr

Kenneth E. Kopp Sr., 66, of Rock Springs passed away at his home March 8, 2015 following a lengthy illness. 

He had been a longtime resident of Rock Springs.

He was born on July 21, 1948 in Pierce, Colo., the son of the late Louis and Ruby Kopp.

Kopp attended schools in Rock Springs.

He married Joyce Brown Fernandez on Jan. 1, 1994 in Rock Spirngs, Wyoming.

He had formerly been married to Barbara Harsha and Cindy Doran Camacho.

Kopp was the owner of K & Z Construction for 28 years and retired in 2009.

He was a member of Restoration Ministries and was a past 10-year member of the High Desert Riders. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, boating, camping and riding motorcycles.  

Kopp was a natural craftsman and carpenter.

He was artistic and could fix anything.

He also was an aquarium enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years Joyce Kopp of Rock Springs; three sons, Kenneth E. Kopp Jr. and wife Sara, Terri Kopp, all of Casper, and Dustin Kopp and wife Christina of Rock Springs; two step-daughters, Anita Bell and husband Kade and Lolita Sains all of Rock Springs; foster daughter, Joyce Crawford and husband Robert of Leavenworth, Kan.; two brothers, Jim Kopp of Casper, and Richard Kopp and wife Pam of Surprise, Ariz.; two sisters, Helen Overy of Cottonwood Heights, Utah and Norma Jean Gallatin of Greeley, Colo.; grandchildren Summer Ann Kopp, Andrew Kopp, Marcus Kopp, Haley Sains, Robert "Bobby" Sains, Brody Bell, Kierra Levina Bell, Jonathan Crawford, Jacob Crawford and Jessica Crawford; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation will take place and a celebration of his life will be conducted at 6 p.m. Saturday at Restoration Ministries, located at 518 Elk Street in Rock Springs.
