Oliver W. "Bud" Tebedo

Oliver W. "Bud" Tebedo, 84, of Rock Springs passed away Feb. 21, 2015 at his home.

A longtime resident of Rock Springs and former resident of Woodbridge, Va., Tebedo passed away following a lengthy illness.

Tebedo was born in Grand Junction, Colo. on March 26, 1930, the son of the late George Oliver Tebedo and Iona Manchester Tebedo.

He attended schools in Grand Junction, Colo. and graduated from Grand Junction High School with the class of 1948.

He also attended Regis College for one year and Mesa State University for one and a half years.

Tebedo served in the United States Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts from Dec. 30, 1950 until he retired on Nov. 22, 1971.

While in the service he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and many others.

He married Mary Kathryn Snow in Saint Mary's Cathedral in Cheyenne on Aug. 3, 1954.

Tebedo spent 21 years in the air force and after retiring he worked for New Studio and then was the owner and operator of the New Studio for 20 years. He retired in 1996.

Tebedo was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Community, Knights of Columbus, American Legion Archie Hay Post No. 24 and  B.P.O. Elks Lodge No. 624 all in Rock Springs; and past member othe Rotary Club.

Survivors include his wife Mary Kathryn Tebedo of Rock Springs; five sons, Wayne E. Tebedo and wife Sharon of Omaha, Neb., Oliver David Tebedo of Grand Junction, Colo., Brian K. Tebedo and wife Kathy of Rock Springs, Jeffrey L. Tebedo and wife Delia of Roswell, N.M. and Christopher J. Tebedo of Grand Junction, Colo .; three daughters, Carolyn D. Jussila and husband Bill of Laramie, Eileen M. Cristanelli and husband Wayne of Rock Springs, and Nadine M. Girouard and husband David of Rock Springs; one brother, Donald E. Tebedo and wife Mary Ann of Colorado Springs, Colo .; one sister, Evelyn Harris and husband Bill of Denver; 19 grandchildren, including Jason Cristanelli and wife Jessica of Rock Springs and Matthew Tebedo and wife Abby of Green River; 20 great-grandchildren; many cousins, nine nephews, 12 nieces and brother-in-law Jim Snow and wife Cecelia of Cheyenne.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael A. Tebedo; one granddaughter, Lynn M. Cristanelli; one great-grandson, Dallas G. Sandoval.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Sorrow's Catholic Church, 116 Broadway in Rock Springs.

A vigil service with rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the church. Military honors and interment will be in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday, one hour prior to the rosary and on Friday at the church, one hour prior to services.
