James "Jim" N. Robey

James "Jim" N. Robey, 81, of Green River, Wyoming passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at his home. A longtime resident of Green River, Wyoming, Mr. Robey died following a lengthy illness.

He was born on January 27, 1934 in Kingman, Kansas, the son of Adin S. and Ida P. Sinnett Robey.

Mr. Robey married Joan Margaret Leckner in Clayton, New Mexico on January 1, 1952 and she preceded him in death on May 2, 1996.

He worked for Northwest Pipeline and Williams Field Services for thirty seven years retiring as a District Manager in April of 1994.

His interests included spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, rock hunting, searching for objects with a metal detector, gun smithing and genealogy.

Survivors include his companion Verna Wunneburger of Green River, Wyoming; one son Troy E. Robey and wife Karen of Battleground, Washington; three daughters Connie M. Hacking and husband Michael of Pocatello, Idaho, Marie E. Wilson and husband John of Green River, Wyoming and Lynn A. Young and husband Christopher of Superior, Wyoming; two brothers Dwaine Robey of Westcliff, Colorado and Dale Robey of Texas; two sisters Velda Hoober of Oklahoma and Myla Ritchie of Nebraska; twelve grandchildren Richard Hacking, Michalene Etnyre, Justin Hacking, LaCreshia Mote, Tiffany Steele, Stephanie Robey, Amber Wilson, Shane Wilson, Brian Wilson, Amanda Holgate, Krystal Blaisdell, and Brooke Marang; eight great-grandchildren Ella Hacking, Mason Etnyre, Kassidy Mote, Taylor Bertagnolli, Jersey Holgate, Payson Holgate, Clarissa Mote, and Makayla Mote; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Adin and Ida Robey; wife Joan Robey; son Clark Robey.

Following cremation, memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Vase Flaming Gorge Chapel, 263 East Flaming Gorge Way, Green River, Wyoming. Inurnment will be in the Riverview Cemetery in Green River, Wyoming. Friends may call at the Vase Chapel, one hour prior to services.
