Winona Kay Hobbs

Winona Kay Hobbs, 73, of Green River, died Dec. 30, 2014 at the South Davis Community Hospital in Bountiful, Utah after a brief illness.

She was born Feb. 20,1941 in McKinnon, the daughter of Harold Brady and Zelda Tripplett Brady.

She attended schools in Green River and graduated from Green River High School with the class of 1958.

She married Larry D. Hobbs March 16, 1963 in McKinnon.

She worked as a photographer during the building of the Flaming Gorge Dam.

She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Her interests were spending time with her grandchildren, reading, knitting, gardening, and traveling when she could. She was never afraid to get her hands dirty or kill a spider.

She was a beautiful, intelligent, strong woman and she will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband Larry Hobbs; sons Brent D. Hobbs and companion Penny Puckett, Brian L. Hobbs and companion Gina George; daughter Ramona Allen and companion David Beltran; brothers Ned Brady and wife Juleen, Bill Brady and wife Sharon; sister Anna Marie Chico; grandchildren Chanelle Prime and husband Blake Gaarder, Corry Allen, Keith Curry and fiancé Morgan Norris, Stephen Curry and fiancé Bailee Coy, Brendon Hobbs, Shiler Hobbs, and Brent Delawn Hobbs.

She was preceded in death by daughter Rebecca Hobbs; sisters Marla Baenum, Bonnie Gregory and husband Alma, Annette Schofield and husband Don; granddaughter Brittney Hobbs; great-grandson Konnor Allen; brother-in-law Norman Chico.

Cremation has taken place at the Fox Crematory in Rock Springs.

There will be a celebration of her life with a luncheon at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Quality Inn, 1670 Sunset Drive in Rock Springs.
