While most tend to visit the Sweetwater County Historical Museum to glimpse artifacts pertaining to the county’s history, visitors can also find unique and one-of- a-kind gifts within its gift shop.
According to Ruth Lauritzen, director of the museum, the gift shop supports three nonprofit organizations, the Sweetwater County Historical Museum Foundation, the county historical society and the county.
Which entity receives the profit depends on the items purchased.
A percentage of the book sales, for example, go to the historical foundation.
