    It was another strong week for the Green River High School wrestling team. The Wolves were a perfect 4-0 in varsity dual matches. The junior varsity was also a perfect 2-0.     In his first two seasons as a member of the Green River High School wrestling team Jared Flores had a great deal of success for an upperclassmen. As a freshman wrestling at 106 pounds, he won 40 matches, a 4A West Regional title and finished second at the state tournament. As a sophomore he won more than 30 matches, finished second at the regional tournament and sixth at the 4A State Tournament in Casper. Green River second out of the three teams, edging out visiting Riverton by a eight-point differential. Rock Springs finished in first place.     It appeared for awhile last Thursday night that the Green River High School boy’s basketball team would pick up its first victory in more than two years. Playing in front of a standing-room-only home crowd against rival Rock Springs, a Chase Erickson free throw gave Green River a 44-43 lead with just over four minutes remaining in the game. The Lady Wolves (2-11, 0-3 4A West) had two three points shot attempts in the last five seconds that would have given them a one-point lead against bitter rival Rock Springs.     The competition was fierce, but that did not stop some outstanding individual performances from members of the Green River High School indoor track team. The Wolves traveled last weekend to compete at two-day event at the Kearns Olympic Ice Oval in Utah.     The nine member all-volunteer Muley Fanatic Foundation Southwest Chapter Project Advisory Committee is now accepting funding proposals for 2015 projects.     There could be up to $20,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs at the annual Buckboard Marina Burbot Classic Fishing Derby. Permitted by the Ashley National Forest, this years event will take place Friday and end Sunday. Lauretta Tanner of Buckboard Marina said this is the third derby they have hosted and they are hoping for a good turnout, but they never know what it will be till the day of the event.     Last Thursday, the Green River High School auditorium was transformed into a blood donation center. United Blood Services employees were on hand to help with interviews and blood donations, while GRHS Student Council members were busy getting people to where they needed to go. With the blood drive taking place at the high school, there were a lot of first-time blood donors in the chairs.
