JAMESTOWN/RIO- VISTA FIRE DISTRICT The Jamestown Fire District is looking for residents that would be interested in running for Public Office in the 2024 General Election. The Jamestown Fire District Board of Directors is made up of (3) three volunteer residents in the Jamestown voting District. These are non-compensated positions and the duties of a Director are an act of Community Service. Purpose: Fire Protection The Board of Directors act as liaison to receive tax monies (collected for us by Sweetwater County) from our voting district property evaluations at a rate of 3mil. We in turn establish a budget to cover administration cost and compensate the City of Green River for the Fire Protection of our community.
