At 8:35 a.m., officers responded to a report of a student in possession of a vaping device. Officers issued a citation to a juvenile for alleged use/possession of tobacco by a minor - first offense and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:25 a.m., officers responded to a report of drugs.

At 11:43 a.m., officers responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle.

April 16

At 7:12 a.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence.

At 11:31 a.m., officers responded to a report of fraud.

At 3:03 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a citation to Jennie Malonek for alleged vehicle exceeding 20 miles per hour in a school zone (6+ mph over).

April 18

At 7:30 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a citation to Florence Trinque for alleged vehicle exceeding 20 miles per hour in a school zone (6+ mph over).

At 1:57 p.m., officers responded to a report of a scam.

At 4:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence.

At 7:33 p.m., officers responded to a report of an animal bite.

At 11:37 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers gathered information and arrested Dustin Curtis, of Green River. Officers transported Curtis to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed an incident report.

April 19

At 6:45 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a citation to Shea Sanchez for an alleged stop sign violation.

At 8:06 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for alleged speeding in a school zone.

At 8:32 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for alleged speeding.

At 11:20 a.m., officers responded to a report of a traffic offense and issued a citation to Thomas Whitaker for alleged meeting or passing a stopped school bus.

At 11:26 a.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active arrest warrant. Officers arrested the individual, transported them to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed an incident report.

At 1:11 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active arrest warrant. Officers arrested Derek Aragon, of Green River, transported Aragon to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed an incident report.

At 4:17 p.m., officers responded to a report of a violation of a court order.

At 4:35 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance.

April 20

At 5:33 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a citation to Shawn Bevier for alleged speeding.

At 7:13 a.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active arrest warrant. Officers arrested the individual, transported them to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed an incident report.

At 1:29 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism.

At 10:49 p.m., officers responded to a report of assault.

At 11:18 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for alleged speeding.

April 21

At 12:19 a.m., officers responded to a report of an alcohol offense.

At 12:34 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for an alleged stop sign violation.

At 9:41 a.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing.

At 12:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of found property. Officers collected the property and attempted to contact the owner, Jessica Setzer. The property was booked in for safekeeping and an incident report was completed. 

At 2:18 p.m., officers responded to a report of fraud.

At 6:13 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a citation to Ashley Labelle for an alleged one-way traffic signal violation.

At 9:18 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop; arrested the driver, Shannon Vasseur, of Green River; and issued citations to Vasseur for alleged DWUI - alcohol - incapable of safely driving - second offense and expired temporary license permit/improper registration. Officers transported Vasseur to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed an incident report.

April 22

At 5:56 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for alleged expired temporary license permit/improper registration.

At 6:59 a.m., officers responded to a report of a scam. Officers met with an individual who reported monetary losses after being scammed on Facebook. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 9:42 a.m., officers responded to a report of fraud.

At 11:44 a.m., officers responded to a report of an accident.

At 12:34 p.m., officers responded to a report of assault.

At 1:16 p.m., officers responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle.

At 2:28 p.m., officers responded to a report of fraud.

At 2:36 p.m., officers responded to a report of larceny.

At 4:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of a traffic offense and issued a citation to a juvenile for alleged off-road vehicle operation (hillclimbing).

From the RSPD:

The Rock Springs Police Department received notification of a dead body found under the Hancock Bridge Thursday, April 18 at 10:50 a.m. The victim has been identified and family notification is pending. This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be forthcoming.
