Green River Police Department reports for Feb. 27

At 7:49 a.m., officers responded to a report of a student in possession of a tobacco vaping device. Officers issued a citation for alleged use/possession of tobacco by a minor to a juvenile, age 15, of Green River, and completed an incident report.

At 8:21 a.m., officers responded to a report of larceny.

At 9:50 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance.

At 12:31 p.m., officers responded to a report of a traffic hazard.

At 8:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault.

Feb. 28

At 6:01 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for alleged speeding.

At 12:07 p.m., Animal Control Officers responded to a report of a stray dog fighting with another dog. Officers impounded the dog and issued citations to Patricia Terhune for alleged nuisance animal and animal at large.

At 3:37 p.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run and issued a citation to Brian Trotta for an alleged hit and run of attended property.

At 11:10 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for an alleged headlights - one on each side violation.

Feb. 29

At 5:55 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a citation to Michael Trefethen for alleged speeding.

At 6:06 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued warnings for an alleged seat belt - driver violation and a vehicle exceeding 30 miles per hour in an urban district, 6+ mph over.

At 11:58 a.m., officers responded to a report of found property. Officers collected a cell phone, which was found on the greenbelt behind the Game and Fish building. Officers attempted to locate the owner, booked in the phone, which had a yellow phone case, for safekeeping, and completed an incident report.

At 1:34 p.m., officers responded to Probation and Parole at 140 Commerce Drive for a report of an individual with an active arrest and hold order. Officers arrested Gary Brewer, of Mills, Wyoming, transported Brewer to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed an incident report.

At 3:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a runaway.

At 3:17 p.m., officers responded to a report of an accident.

At 3:39 p.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing.

At 4:12 p.m., officers responded to a report of an accident.

At 7:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run.

At 7:35 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance.

March 1

At 9:23 a.m., officers responded to a report of a nuisance.

At 12:28 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle.

At 5:09 p.m., Animal Control Officers responded to a report of two dogs at large. Officers made contact with the owner and issued citations to Niccole Carroll for alleged animal at large and animal at large - second offense.

March 2

At 11:52 a.m., officers responded to a report of an accident.

At 1:06 p.m., officers responded to a report of drugs.

At 4:12 p.m., officers responded to a report of larceny.

At 5:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of an accident.

March 3

At 12:04 a.m., officers responded to a report of threats/harassment.

At 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance.

At 10:01 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for alleged speed too fast for conditions.

At 10:20 a.m., officers responded to a report of an accident.

At 12:21 p.m., officers responded to a report of fraud.

At 1:49 p.m., officers responded to Roosevelt Drive Uinta Drive for a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported one vehicle was traveling west on Roosevelt when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a second vehicle, which was waiting to turn into the parking lot. Officers issued the driver of the first vehicle, Reynaldo Cavazos, a citation for alleged speed too fast for conditions and completed an incident report.

March 4

At 8:48 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for alleged speeding in a school zone.

At 9:19 a.m., officers responded to a report of threats/harassment.

At 11:08 a.m., officers responded to a report of fraud.

At 3:09 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and met with the driver, who was found to be driving on a suspended/revoked driver's license. Officers arrested William McDowell of Millersburg, Michigan, and issued citations for alleged DWUS - second or subsequent offense and speeding in a school zone. Officers transported McDowell to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report.
